While farmers usually look at the ground to check their crops rising, many were looking to the sky instead, during this 2016 edition of the World Ag Expo.
The World AG Expo 2016 is one of the biggest events in America when it comes to Agriculture. It took place in Tulare, California from 9 to 11th February. Parrot teams were there to introduce farming professional solutions developed by its R&D teams to improve crop yields through the use of vanguard technology. SenseFly drones, equipped with our new intelligent sensors Sequoia, raised great interest among the 100,000 attendees of the show.
Parrot offers a complete and integrated solution for agriculture able to extract and analyze all data that is needed to make the right decisions for a field. Integrating the Sequoia solution into precision agriculture techniques helps the farmer at each step of his production process and enables him to respond to the needs of his crops in the best possible manner. Thanks to data monitoring, farmers can refine fertilization, optimize pesticide needs, control crop irrigation and estimate crop yield.
During this edition of the World AG Expo, more than 1,500 Exhibitors took up the 2 million square feet of exhibit space in Tulare city. Farmers who are used to look after their crops by monitoring the ground discovered a way to do so by using their tablets or smartphones instead.
