A singular muse for truly unique headphones

Parrot Zik 2.0 are headphones like no other and Conchita Wurst, a singular artist, will be featured as the muse for Parrot’s headphones.

My life is a musical! (…) No matter how you look, where you’re from, the color of your skin… What matters is to be yourself, to express your personality. Create your own world…” Conchita Wurst

Watch Conchita Wurst’s exclusive interview for Parrot:

Conchita Wurst is an amazing artist. I am very happy she agreed to lend her image to the Parrot Zik 2.0 campaign,” said Henri Seydoux, founder and CEO of Parrot.

“Tuned by Conchita Wurst”

Conchita Wurst worked with the acoustic designers of Parrot in order to create audio presets for the Zik 2.0. For this, she used the five bands parametric equalizer and the spatialization effects available on the Parrot Zik 2.0 App.

Zik 2.0 headphone users will then be able to listen to ‘Rise like a Phoenix’, the track that led Conchita to win the Eurovision 2014 Song contest, the way she likes to listen to it with the Parrot headphones. In addition, Conchita Wurst created the ‘Golden Voices’ preset that is, according to her, adapted to the voices she loves, such as Céline Dion or Barbra Streisand.

Presets created by Conchita Wurst, as well as those done by other artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Andrew Watt, Philippe Cohen Solal, Richard Dorfmeister, are available for free on the Parrot Zik 2.0 app for iOS and Android, as well as the upcoming Windows Smartphone app.

  1. But WHEN will it be available? I want one of those, but I’m waiting and waiting and thinking of buying the Dr Beats instead of MORE waiting. My current pair of Bose’s are end of life and I can’t wait indefinitely.

  2. I don’t even know who this person is. When will the headphones be released? I might give up waiting and just buy beats by Dre.

  3. Philips do a great Bluetooth headset and it has a mic for Skype etc. Mates with your smart phone and computer. The BIG Question is: Does the Parrot have a microphone??

  4. Oh, Conchita – one of BBC`s 100 woman of the year. I like this special lady – multitalented, great artist and very charming person.

    1. Not in the UK they haven’t released / announced a date yet. Which is annoying given Amazon UK is now selling it through third party sellers based out of Europe

      1. Haha maybe give it a bit of time, it can take some time to go through legal stuff and get the distribution channels running.

All I can say about the headphone, as a dedicated audiophile, is that it’s definitely an improvement over the original. Sound signature preserves the Parrot house sound- a little wonky but palatable now. What really impressed me, right from the start with the Zik, was the technology and design-driven product they put on the market. Compared to the new Bose offering Bose still wins in terms of efficacy of its noise cancellation though.

  5. … got me the Zik 2.0 for since last year… the battery is running out of juice/power as I used it almost everyday on way to work and week ends @ home… really really really need the additional battery, which Parrot have yet provide a definite date on availability… great product! I love it very much! but the from product management point of view… it is a disappointing.
